Due Date Dilemma

I had my first ultrasound early in my pregnancy. I thought I was about 8 weeks along, but come to find out I was 5 weeks and 6 days. I always thought that was off, but I went with it. At my second ultrasound they thought I was further along so I easily changed my mind to the earlier date. At my third ultrasound (20 weeks) they said the same thing...that I was further along. So here is the dilemma. I don't know what date to go with! The later date is August 30th and the earlier one is August 20th. If I was only dealing with a few days I wouldn't even mind, but 10 days! Come on!! So I have been trying to convince myself to just go along with the August 30th date because more than likely I'll be late anyway. Steve thinks we might as well just plan for September, which might as well be Christmas to me. September is a bad word in our house right now! I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks, so we'll see what they say. In the meantime, I am finally going to put a baby ticker on the blog with the August 30th date! So, countdown to meet our sweet little baby Ryder!

They did the same thing with Michael, they will only change the date if its is more then 14 days(two weeks). They told me Sept15th and my ultrasound was Sept. 5th (ten days) Michael came on Sept 7 and was NOT early.Mason was 10 days early and had all the "white cheese" b/c of it. Michael was pink as a piggy. In fact the doctor had said that the ultrasound date is the best to go from. I hope he comes the earlier b/c I agree Sept. seems to long!

I think it's so hard to really trust those ultrasounds! I say just count on meeting in the middle at Aug. 25th. You'll probably get a better idea when you start going to those last appts in Aug., they'll measure you and have a better estimate. I can't wait to meet Ryder, I can already picture those bright blue eyes!!!!

I am with Laura for the August 25 thing!!! I hope he will come on the 27th though (Berkley's B-day)! It is so hard at the end when you just want to be done and meet the little one... I hope that he can come a little early. Maybe the summer heat will be too much for him to bare in the womb! LOVE that you have the baby ticker up now. That really does not seem like very long at all!!! Can't wait to meet this blue eyed beauty of a boy! Hopefully he can be a volleyball player like his Dad! Ha...

He will be here in NO time... enjoy your guys last days together alone, sleeping in, not in a hurry, QUIET and relaxed. It's the best thing in the world defin. to get that little guy here, but I wish that I would have enjoyed those last few weeks more relaxed with Jerad. I am so excited for you!

let's be honest, a baby is full term at 37 weeks so let's just shoot for early to mid August...my baby is due on halloween but i tell everyone that he/she will be here early October...wishful thinking! hope the dumb leg cramps go away!!!

Tell everyone that you're due in September and when he arrives everyone will think you delivered early.

I love that 'september' is a bad word!Maybe you should check out the astrological signs and see what you think will serve Ryder better... I only know that the end of August is a Virgo. It seems hippy-ish keeping with the hypnobirthing and whatnot...love that you are doing that!
