I went to my Dr.s appointment yesterday and baby is doing great! He is definitely in a great position to come out, I am almost completely effaced and starting to dilate. Things are looking good. The Dr. scared me when she said she thought he was going to be really big, so she sent me over to have an ultrasound. I was upset because I know that ultrasounds can be way off and I didn't want the stress of thinking I was going to have a huge baby! Because as my Hypnobabies teaches me, "My baby is the perfect size for me!" Anyway, I had the ultrasound and he sure is packed in there! I couldn't believe it! Everything came out great. He is in the 59th percentile...and weighs a little over 7lbs. I am taking it with a grain of salt knowing what I know about ultrasounds, but at least they didn't say he was already 10lbs. They projected my due date as the 30th, so I am happy with that. I want him to get all he needs before he makes his big debut. I am feeling great and sleeping like a champ. 10 hours straight last night! WOO HOO!! I am getting it all in before my sweet little man needs me all night long! 
Here is a picture from the ultrasound. He's just waving at us letting us know he'll be here soon! Such a cute boy! And don't worry, the nurse reassured us he does indeed have a pinky, she just didn't get it in the picture.

Well, good to know that you're progressing! I"m sure he is going to be the perfect size, I know it's hard to believe those ultrasounds! So here's my prediction for the little guy- 8lbs, 4oz. and 20 inches. Can't wait to hear the news!
katie, i am excited that you are so close!!! he will be here before you know it and life will never be the same... you are going to be a fantastic mommy and i hope i get to meet this boy sometime soon! we'll get him and the littlest kirby together for a play day (once littlest kirby arrives). :)

What the crap? How can you sleep 10 hours straight? At the end of my pregnancies, I literally had to get up at least three times a night just to pee!!!!!
i love hypno birthing. I think I taught it in another life. Everything I hear you say about it is music to my ears. Such great positive thinking. Baby voo doo. he is gonna be perfect.

Katie....he is going to be the perfect size for you. I was 9 lbs. 13 ounces.....and the perfect size for my momma! (if you need to, start playing your mantras!) By the way...Micah said he put the umbrella up right in front of you at the beach (he didn't realize you were there). So I asked if he moved it, and he blankly said, "no. they packed up and left." And I said, "Yeah...probably cursing your name!"I have total faith in you....and I have your baby's first present....Bubbles -- so he can have some of his own! XOXO

any news yet?? I can't wait to hear, you are so close! The delivery is the best part of pregnancy, there is such an excitement in the air. And the spirit is so strong as you are about to bring your baby into the world.... Good Luck.
